This article examines the impact of small and medium-sized businesses on national export and import activities, their contribution to increasing export diversification, employment creation, and regional economic growth. Despite financial constraints and barriers, small and medium-sized businesses strive to become competitive by adapting to market segments and integrating into global value chains. Government financial assistance, training, and infrastructure development serve to support small and medium-sized businesses and increase their trade participation. Research shows that strategic support for small and medium-sized businesses can strengthen economic stability and ensure sustainable growth in developing economies.
